SAFR Server licenses are bound to the hardware they are installed. If any of the following occur, the license must be reset:

  1. How computer hardware changes significantly
  2. SAFR Server is migrated to a new machine
  3. SAFR is uninstalled and re-installed


If license reset is needed for case #1, please send following to support@safr.com with subject line of "License reset":
  1. C:\Program Files\RealNetworks\SAFR\install.log
  2. C:\Program Files\RealNetworks\SAFR\covi\logs\covi-ws.log (or the dated file from the day upgrade was first attempted)

If license reset is needed for case #2 or #3, please take following actions:

  1. If still functional, shut down old server and provide same logs as indicated above
  2. Install new server and submit same logs as indicated above for new server
