SAFR keeps the settings for SAFR SCAN, SAFR Camera or SAFR Video Gateway on SAFR Server in the Vide Feeds list. These settings are persisted even if the device or PC is disconnected from SAFR On-Premises Server or SAFR Cloud for a little while.  But if a device or PC is disconnected for a very long time, SAFR Server automatically deletes the entry.  If the device connects again, it will assume default settings.

To increase the time in which a device may be disconnected before being automatically cleaned up on SAFR Server or SAFR Cloud, use the following settings:

Go to SAFR Desktop > Tools menu > Vide Feeds > "..." menu in upper right and select "Set Feed Defaults"

Under System, set one of the following settings depending on the device type:

For SAFR SCAN or SAFR Camera

configurable-processor-max-disconnected-hours: 168

For SAFR Video Gateway running on a PC

non-configurable-processor-max-disconnected-hours: 24

The value is in hours.

  • For SAFR SCAN or Camera, the default is 1 week.  After 1 week, settings for a disconnected device is disconnected.
  • For SAFR Video Gateway, the default is 24 hours.  After 1 day, settings for a disconnected Video Gateway is deleted.
