Once installed, SAFR Server is locked to a SAFR Account ID.  This cannot be changed unless you uninstall and re-install SAFR Server.


There may be times in which you are unsure of the account you used to install SAFR Server on a given machine.  There are two ways to check which account SAFR Server is using.

  1. Check the logged in account in SAFR Desktop as described below. (Will not work if SAFR Desktop is not signed in or if the root user is not signed into SAFR Desktop)
  2. View SAFR Server COVI log as described below.


Check Logged in Account in SAFR Desktop

Open SAFR Desktop and go to Tools > Preferences > Account and check theaccount id as shown below


Check Server Account in COVI Log

Open covi-ws.log in C:\Program  Files\RealNetworks\SAFR\covi\logs and get the account id as shown below
