Video Feeds window doesn't display new Virgo processor
Or How to change Virgo Processor ID on Windows
When SAFR Virgo(SAFR Desktop, SAFR Platform) is installed on identical models from the same vendor, it is possible that the generated Virgo Processor IDs may be the same.
When this happen, you only see 1 processor in the Video Feeds window even though you have multiple Virgo instances.
To resolve the problem, you can modify Virgo processor ID manually, on each machine.
- Go to Windows Service Control Panel and stop Windows "SAFR Virgo" Service
- Open C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Virgo\SAFRVirgo.exe_< >\1.0.0.0\user.config file with Notepad
- Find LocalVirgoId as shown below:
<setting name="ClientGuid" serializeAs="String">
<value>1CE95F0B</value>
</setting> - Change the guid to new value to a new unique amongst all other processors connected to the server. Value should be a hex string (letters A-F or numbers 0-9) and remain same length.
<setting name="ClientGuid" serializeAs="String">
<value>1CE95F0A</value>
</setting> - Restart the SAFR Virgo Windows Service
You will see the new processor instance in Video Feeds window. If this appears, issue is resolved.
This process may leave a orphan processor which is not active anymore. Remove the orphan processor if you need.
