Upgrade Virgo (Linux)

Upgrading Virgo can be done by uninstalling and installing the new version with the same installation parameters (environment, account, client pre-fix) or by following following upgrade procedure to keep the same client connection settings:

  1. Unpack virgo installer to ${HOME} 
  2. systemctl stop com.real.virgod.service
  3. sudo rm -rf /opt/RealNetworks/virgo
  4. sudo cp /etc/virgo-factory.conf /tmp/
  5. sudo ${HOME}/virgo_installer/install.sh --system --home=”/opt/RealNetworks/” --conf=”/tmp/virgo=factory.conf”
