Raising Alerts with SAFR

SAFR has a few options to alert one or more individuals to a person of interest.  This article summarizes those capabilities.  Please consult with documentation or SAFR Support for more information on any of these options.

Email Notification

  • Include images and text, customize layout with template
  • Embed dynamic tokens in email such as name, tags, home location, idClass, Person Type, etc
  • Can include link to launch person record in web client on desktop or SAFR Mobile Client on phone (view person record and recent events for person on SAFR mobile app)


SMS Notification 

  • Text only in SMS.  Includes link to launch SAFR Mobile Client to see images and person history
  • While SAFR Mobile client can connect directly to on-prem server, this is usually a challenge because SAFR would be on the secure network.  So best option is to use a SAFR Cloud account to proxy events from on-prem server to operators mobile devices if that is required
  • Deeplink launches safr mobile to person view.  From person view, can click on recent events to view locations same person was identified in descending time order
In-App Push Notifications (Desktop and Android only)
  • SAFR Desktop or SAFR Mobile for Android can subscribe to push notifications
  • Generate sound on threat or concern and popup to show match
  • View recent person history for match


All notification methods support:

  • Trigger on one or more conditions of event:
    • idClass: Known, Threat, Concern, Stranger, Unrecognizable
    • Person Type: Custom tag assigned to each person (e.g. staff, visitor, DNA-Violent, etc.)
    • Source (one or more cameras)
    • Site (Building)
